Introduction
This 2 euro coin, issued by Slovakia in 2015, celebrates the bicentenary of the birth of the intellectual Ľudovít Štúr. Additionally, the initials “MP” and the symbol of the Kremnica Mint (Mincovňa Kremnica) appear below the dates, confirming the mint of manufacture of the coin. The bottom of the coin shows twelve stars, symbol of the European Union, arranged in a circle around the edge. This starry circle symbolizes the unity and harmony of the EU member countries.
