Introduction

At the bottom of the coin, the name of the issuing country “PORTUGAL” appears, followed by the year “2020”, marking the anniversary of this historic institution.
Furthermore, the illustration includes the names “INCM” and “JOSÉ AURÉLIO” at the bottom right. These names designate respectively the monetary institution responsible for producing the coin and the designer. In addition, the outer border of the coin is decorated with the twelve stars of the European Union. This symbolizes unity and harmony among member states.
