In addition, above the rings, a stylized representation of the emblem of the Tokyo Olympic Games attracts attention. This pattern includes distinctive elements of Japanese design, which reinforces the theme of the event.
Furthermore, the names “CASA DA MOEDA” and “IPOL” appear on the left. These names respectively designate the monetary institution responsible for producing the coin and the artist who designed it. In addition, the outer border of the coin is decorated with the twelve stars of the European Union. This symbolizes unity and harmony among member states.
