Description of the Coin
The central part of the coin features a relief illustration. The design depicts a coastal view with cliffs, representing the iconic chalk cliffs of Rügen, emblematic of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania region.
Additionally, a bird, probably a seagull, is flying over the cliffs. Furthermore, a path with people walking along the beach is visible. There are also rocks in the foreground.
The words “MECKLENBURG-VORPOMMERN 2024” are inscribed at the top left of the central part. This indicates the German region of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Additionally, the letter “D” beneath the inscription indicates that the coin was minted in Germany.
The engraver’s initials “FB” are visible at the bottom left, integrated into the design. Finally, the outer edge of the coin features a circle of twelve stars, symbolizing the European Union.
