Characteristics of a 2 euro coin

The 2 euro coin is a coin that is currently legal tender in 23 countries in the euro zone. The first mintings date back to 1999, although its circulation dates back to 2002.
There are currently more than 6,300,000,000 2 euro coins issued.

All euro coins have a common reverse created by Mr. LUYCX Luc, sculptor at the Royal Mint of Belgium. On all the coins, we find his initials “LL” engraved towards the right of the reverse of the coin.
